Sometimes it IS your Modem

My old modem (Another Arris) actually worked up to 75 Mbps, even though it shouldn't have, so when I got a new 100 Mbps service plan from Xfinity, I was dismayed that it only did 50. Then I read up and discovered it was an outdated 4x4 channel no longer supported. I checked out the various recommended modems and this was a direct replacement. and once I hooked it up, I was getting consistent 120/12 Mbps. I DID however, need to download the Xfinity app on my phone in order to change the modem on my account, and make sure you get the right app, because only one version supports doing that. But other than that, I didn't need to call customer support or anything.

Super easy to set up

Just an FYI throw away the cat five or cat six cable that comes with it I had two of them were bad very low speed out of them only reason why I returned the Wi-Fi device was my local cable company spectrum I had too many people signed up so I constantly was receiving slower speeds with my gig service so I just returned it keep on using spectrums Wi-Fi

Excellent mesh wifi system

Seems to work very well so far. Relatively easy to set up - just follow the instructions. If you want to hardwire more than one device into the router (e.g. desktop PC, printer), you will need a switch since there is only one jack available. Not a big deal. Setup was easy with a smartphone, but a web interface would be nice to have.

Powerful Wi-Fi router

Very happy with this router. Besides it’s speed and accuracy, it auto reboots after power interruption. Only issue: it doesn’t have a USB port and capability to connect a hard drive for automatic backups for computers on its network
